GOLDEN, Colo., April 11, 2014 – Colorado School of Mines officially broke ground April 10 to begin construction of the Clear Creek Athletics Complex including the Harold M. and Patricia M. Korell Athletics Center and Marv Kay Stadium at Campbell Field.

The highly anticipated project will support student athletes through new and improved training facilities. The improvements will impact the majority of Mines' student-athletes, especially those who participate in men's and women's track and field/cross country, men's and women's soccer, and football – as well as intramurals, club sports and other student activities. 

This project will help ensure that all sports facilities at Mines reflect our student-athletes' own commitment to excellence. As the Orediggers establish themselves as top contenders in conference and national competition, outstanding facilities will help Mines continue to attract and support some of the most talented student-athletes in the nation.
