Mines hosting Cyber Security Awareness Month poster and video competition

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 2, 2012 – To raise awareness during Cyber-Security Awareness Month, the Department of Computing, Communications, and Information Technologies at Colorado School of Mines is sponsoring a campus wide poster and movie competition. In addition, a FBI agent will deliver a presentation on real-world cyber crime.

The message this year is, "STOP - THINK - CONNECT: Own Your Online Presence." 

Campus participants may submit posters and short videos (less than six minutes) via email to security@mines.edu. Hard copies of posters (11 x 17 printouts) may be delivered to the CCIT Helpdesk inside the CTLM building.

Prizes include an iPad 3, iPod Touch, bookstore vouchers and other goodies.

The deadline to enter is midnight Oct. 24. Winners will be announced during an event beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the Brown Building auditorium, room W280.
