GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 13, 2014 – The McBride Honors Program will be hosting a poetry slam Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in Meyer Hall 220. Three members of the national award slam team, Slam Nuba, will be performing. There will also be a performance by the youth slam poetry award winner, Amal Kassir, who is now internationally famous.

"The Slam Nuba team and Amal Kassir have been nationally and internationally recognized for their contributions to civil rights and human rights," said Physics Professor Lincoln Carr, who teaches a Physics/Poetry Revolution course as part of the McBride Honors Program together with LAIS Professor Toni Lefton.
