Payscale ranks Mines top public school for return on investment

GOLDEN, Colo., April 13, 2012 – Colorado School of Mines is the top ranked public university in terms of return on investment in Payscale.com's 2012 "Colleges Worth Your Investment" list.

Payscale.com found the 30-year return on investment for an engineering degree from Mines to be $851,700, just behind that of Cornell University and ahead of Columbia University. Mines ranked 14th (in state) and 18th (out of state) among the nation's private and public institutions.
