The decorated distance runner and student researcher is the first Mines student-athlete to reach the finals for the prestigious national award. NCAA will announce the winner at its annual convention in January.

The International Student Council hosted its annual celebration of the many cultures represented on the Mines campus Nov. 5

Lauren O’Sullivan, one of 10 college students nationwide to win a $5,000 BHE Foundation CARES Scholarship, was recognized for being a “fierce advocate for trans and nonbinary representation and inclusion in historically male-dominant institutions and fields.”

Starting in Fall 2023, Colorado School of Mines will begin offering a new bachelor’s degree in construction engineering to prepare students to enter high-demand jobs in a growing industry.

This is the 10th year in a row that Mines has received either a Chapter of Excellence or Most Outstanding Chapter honor from Material Advantage.

Baker, a 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and three-time RMAC Champion in cross country and track and field, is the first Mines athlete to reach the Top 30 for the prestigious national honor.

Lauren Miller, a master’s student in geological engineering at Colorado School of Mines, has been honored with the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the National Association of Geoscience

Mines students will have the opportunity to network with even more job recruiters at the virtual Fall Career Day on Sept. 21.
