Geophysics faculty honored at 2015 Society of Exploration Geophysists meeting

Ilya Tsvankin received the SEG Honorary Membership Award

Several Geophysics faculty were honored at the recent 2015 Society of Exploration Geophysists (SEG) annual meeting in New Orleans:
Ilya Tsvankin received the SEG Honorary Membership Award. The award is given to someone who has made distinguished contributions to exploration geophysics or a related field or to the advancement of the profession of exploration geophysics through service to the Society.
Dave Hale received the Award for Best Paper in Interpretation magazine. The best paper is recognized for permanent interest, form and readability, and potential for the advancement of the geophysical profession.
Terry Young received the SEG Life Membership Award. The award acknowledges those who have voluntarily rendered exceptionally meritorious service to the Society.
