GOLDEN, Colo., Feb. 9, 2015 – More than 2,400 students, graduate students and alumni are gearing up to meet with 217 companies during Career Day Feb. 10. This marks the largest spring collegiate career fair in Mines’ history.

Attendees can expect to meet with industries in the fields such as civil and structural engineering, high tech, bio medical, aerospace and energy. Fifteen companies requested to be put on a waiting list.
“Our students are passionate for the fields they want to go into and employers see this,” said Jean Manning-Clark, director of the Colorado School of Mines Career Center. “This is the reason that Mines is in the top tier of colleges companies recruit from. Twenty-five percent of the companies that will be at Career Day are new to Mines because our reputation for producing the best engineers continues to grow.”
In the week following Career Day, Mines will be hosting more than 500 on-campus interviews with Mines students and employers.
In 2014, Mines undergraduates earned an average salary of $67,540 and graduates one of $77,768. Job placement outcomes for 2015 graduates will be available from the Career Center in late September.
Program guides are available in the Career Center or online at DiggerNet (login required). View a list of companies at the event.
