#idigmines Giving Day unites OreGivers on Feb. 6
Contributions to campus causes will continue to shape future of education, innovation and discovery for decades to come
On the heels of the sesquicentennial, Oredigger pride is at an all-time high, and the Colorado School of Mines community is primed to make this year’s #idigmines Giving Day on Feb. 6 the most successful yet. Show your OreGiver love to expand progress for Mines beyond our 150th anniversary.
As we look back on the celebrations of 2024, we reflect on the extraordinary achievements Mines pride has brought and the work that is yet to be done. What better way is there to show your OreGiver love than supporting the Mines causes you care about most to help them win part of the more than $100,000 in bonus funds?
Since 2016, #idigmines has been the heart of giving for the Mines community. It is the one time every year that students, faculty and staff, alumni and friends all come together to make a difference for Mines. It’s also a time to have some fun and win bonus funds for the causes you dig the most.
Your contributions on Feb. 6 will continue to shape the future of education, innovation and discovery for decades to come.
Campus events on Feb. 6
Mines Coffee, Cocoa and Trivia: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Arthur Lakes Library
Kick off the #idigmines fun with free hot chocolate and coffee, generously provided by Book & Brew. Then play a round of Mines Trivia to unlock funds for your favorite campus causes!
Treasure Hunt: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Let’s go mining for gold! Search for 20 3D-printed Golden Blasters hidden across campus. Find one, snap a selfie with Blaster and unlock $150 for your favorite cause. Be sure you’re following @mines_mac on Instagram for clues throughout the day!
FSL Heart Decorating Contest: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Voting closes at 12 p.m.)
Fraternities and sororities decorate wooden hearts in a way that showcases what they love the most about Mines. Hearts will be on display in the Marquez Hall Atrium. Vote on your favorite design by 12 p.m. in person or using the vote button on the #idigmines webpage. The winning chapter will receive a $150 bonus to pay it forward to their favorite campus program.

Virtual Treasure Hunt
You don’t have to be on campus to go mining for gold! Mines volunteers are hiding several 3D-printed Golden Blasters across the United States. Follow @minesalumni on Instagram for daily clues. Be the first to identify a location in the comments and unlock $150 for your favorite cause.
Spirit Photo Contest
Grab your hard hat, swag and memorabilia (or dig through your photo archive) and post your most spirited photo on Instagram. Tag @minesalumni and use #idigmines for a chance to win $150 for your favorite cause. If you don’t have Instagram, email your photo to minesalumni@mines.edu. Deadline to post or submit is 12 p.m. Mountain Time on Feb. 6.
