Mines honorary doctorate recipient inducted into Nat'l Mining Hall of Fame

Mines honorary doctorate recipient Stanley Dempsey was inducted into the National Mining Hall of Fame at their 29th Annual Induction Banquet, held on September 24 in Las Vegas, NV. Dempsey was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering Degree by Mines in 2006 after a long-standing career in which he'd had success in many roles, from geologist to lawyer to corporate executive.

Dempsey has been a long-time loyal supporter of Mines, giving his time and resources to support a dedication to lifelong learning. He's been a huge proponent of advancing the library and technology across campus.
