Mines to host global shale gas technology forum Oct. 28-29

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 28, 2014 – Colorado School of Mines and International Energy Agency Gas and Oil Technologies Implementing Agreement will be hosting an international Global Dialogue forum on Gas and Oil Technology Innovations Oct. 28-29 at the Mines campus (Student Center Ballrooms A and B).

Some of the speakers will include Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, EPA Deputy Administrator Lisa Feldt and Director of the Colorado Energy Research Institute Dag Nummedal. The Center for the New Energy Economy, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission will be some of the industries represented.

Global industry, government and university experts will assess the technologies needed to evolve the industry’s social license to operate and extend the shale revolution to other countries around the globe.
