GOLDEN, Colo., Jan. 3, 2012 – Colorado School of Mines ranked 69th in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine’s 100 best values in public colleges for 2012.
The editors at Kiplinger’s looked at data from more than 500 public four-year schools and narrowed that list to 120 based on academic quality. This year, the magazine revamped the rankings to give more weight to academic value. Cost criteria included low sticker prices, abundant financial aid and low average debt at graduation.
The University of Colorado-Boulder ranked 73rd and Colorado State University ranked 86th. The full list can be found on the Kiplinger’s website.
