Mines tops 2013-14 U.S. News, PayScale and World University Rankings

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 3, 2013 – Colorado School of Mines ranks among the world’s top universities according to several annual rankings released during the past month:

  • U.S. News and World Report: 40th in Top Public Schools, 49th in Engineering Schools Whose Highest Degree is a Doctorate, 91st in Best National Universities.
  • PayScale: 3rd in State Schools for starting salary of $66,700 (U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy ranked 1st and 2nd), 36th among All Schools, public and private, for mid-career salary of $106,000.
