PHOTOS: Mines welcomes students back to campus for 2024-25 academic year

Aug. 19 marked start of the new academic year at Colorado School of Mines — and the continuation of the university's 150th anniversary celebrations

Students pose for a photo on Maple Plaza on the first day of the 2024-25 academic year. The New Student and Transition Services Office hosted the photo pop-up as part of Elevate Your Mines, a program focused on events happening on-campus during the first 60 days of the fall semester.

Among the upcoming events on the Elevate your Mines calendar are the Student Assistant Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 20 and Celebration of Mines, the annual event introducing students to all that Mines has to offer, on Aug. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m.
