Mines to travel Around The World In EightE-Days March 31-April 2

GOLDEN, Colo., March 8, 2016 – Colorado School of Mines will celebrate E-Days with the theme, Around The World in EightE-Days, March 31-April 2. New this year, students can download an E-Days app to build a schedule and receive updates.E-Days

To kickoff E-Days, on March 30, the Alpha Phis will host Alpha Traz. Members of our community will be put under “Cardiac Arrest,” and booked in the Alpha Phi Jail from 3-7 p.m. on the Intramural Fields. The Residence Hall Association will be organizing a Poker Tournament from 7-11 p.m. in Friedhoff Hall.

Thursday, March 31

  • Comedian Eugene Mirman: 6:30-8:30 p.m (doors at 6 p.m.)., Bunker Auditorium
  • Casino Night: 8:30 p.m.-Midnight, Friedhoff Hall
  • Mr. Big Digger: 8:45-10:30 p.m., Friedhoff Hall

Friday, April 1

  • Ore Cart Pull: 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Bus loads at Intramural Fields
  • ROTC 100-Year Celebration: Noon, Intramural Fields
  • Tesla Coil Demo: 1:30-2:30 p.m., Bunker Auditorium
  • Field Day: 2:30-5:30 p.m., Intramural Fields
  • Trebuchet Contest: 2:30-4 p.m., Intramural Fields
  • Into the Streets Friday Night Event: 7-9:30 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.), Intramural Fields

Saturday, April 2

The Golden community is invited and encouraged to attend the following events:

  • Cardboard Boat Race: 10 a.m.-noon, Clear Creek
  • Car Show: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., CTLM Lot
  • Carnival: Noon-3 p.m., Intramural Fields
  • Concert: American Authors: 7-9:30 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.), Intramural Fields
  • Fireworks: 9:30 p.m., View on Intramural Field or Lot Q

On Sunday, April 3, Phi Beta Phi will be hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for their first annual Pancake Phiest event in Student Center Ballrooms B and C.
