An interdisciplinary team of Mines faculty and students is working to develop strategies to implement 3-D printing faster and more efficiently within the U.S. Army’s ground vehicle fleet.
The global student design competition addresses a topic of increasing practical concern as humans move toward a sustainable presence on the Moon’s surface — how to move lunar soil, or regolith.
Jeff Ackerman, teaching associate professor of mechanical engineering, and colleagues at Purdue University won $1 million for the EASI RIDER – Efficient, Accessible and Safe Interaction in a Real Integrated Design Environment for Riders with disabilities.
Colorado School of Mines, in partnership with Red Rocks Community College, is now offering free energy system assessments for local manufacturers, with the goal of helping them improve their facilities’ energy efficiency and reduce their carbon emissions.
