Andrea Wescott Passman ‘98, chief operating officer of Caerus, will give the keynote address at Undergraduate Commencement on May 12.

“Rarely do we see people like Coach Kay who have committed their entire life to one school and the surrounding community,” said Mines Athletics Director David Hansburg. "Marv Kay is clearly the greatest Oredigger of all time, and his legacy will live on forever in the hearts and minds of his countless friends." 

Located at the corner of 19th Street and Tangent Way, on the western edge of Mines Park, the center will serve about 104 children from the Mines community ages 6 weeks through 5 years, when it opens in 2024.

Located at the corner of 17th and Arapahoe streets, the four-story, 50,938-square-foot classroom building will be home to nine new classroom spaces that support an active learning environment, including a large lecture hall.

In this new role, Lattanner will lead efforts to advance awareness of Mines’ world-leading research and support productive relationships with the U.S. government and federal agencies.

The MOU between the two universities establishes a framework for collaboration on multiple fronts, including research, student and faculty learning and professional experiences.

Colorado School of Mines will celebrate its Fall 2022 Commencement on Dec. 16 with ceremonies for undergraduates and graduates.

Through the new federally funded college prep program, students at Jeffco Public Schools' Alameda International Jr./Sr. High School will receive targeted support to strengthen their math and science skills to prepare them for post-secondary studies.

Endowed by Mines alum Ben Fryrear ‘62, the chair recognizes and supports highly accomplished Mines faculty members working to further the vision and mission of the university.

Mines welcomed students back to campus Monday for the first day of the 2022-23 academic year. It was also the start of the first full semester at Mines for Braelin Pantel, the university's new vice president of student life.
